劇情簡介/相關花絮：
亞瑟佛萊克因為他作為小丑所犯下的罪行，被送進阿卡漢精神病院等待審判。
在亞瑟與他的雙重身份掙扎時，他不但邂逅了真愛，還發現了一直存在於內心深處的音樂。
演員陣容還包含曾獲奧斯卡金像獎提名的《伊尼舍林的女妖》布蘭登葛里森、《逃出絕命鎮》凱薩琳凱娜，以及薩琪畢茲，她也將回歸飾演她在《小丑》中的角色。
片中創新的音樂表演非常大膽且具有挑戰性，瓦昆菲尼克斯說：「我們很早就開始討論音樂表演，我們希望這些表演看起來完全是即興演出，感覺比較隨興凌亂，所以我們必須現場演唱歌曲，這麼做也許不是對這些歌曲最優美的詮釋方式，但這種作法卻令人感到非常興奮。」而莉奎茵佐則是為亞瑟黑暗又毫無生氣的世界帶來一絲光明和希望，他們之間的關係以音樂來呈現。
